Our gyms

Our fully equipped, air-conditioned gyms offer a range of equipment for everyone. You can choose from cardiovascular machines such as rowing machines, bikes, treadmills and X-trainers, resistance equipment including free weights or try our dedicated stretch and functional fitness areas with stability balls, kettlebells, medicine balls and more.

Our instructors are fully qualified and on hand to advise you on your fitness needs.

We offer a range of flexible options to start you on your fitness journey in the gym, depending on your fitness needs and goals.

  • Tailored2U – our qualified instructors will design a personal fitness programme for you. We recommend this option if you are new to exercise, lack confidence or motivation (up to 60 minute appointment)
  • Refresh – perfect for customers who have been in a gym before but would like a brief familiarisation with the equipment (up to 30 minute appointment)
  • Quick start – no appointment required. Ideal for customers who are familiar with the gym environment and have used a range of fitness equipment.

Please note: Quick start and refresh options are not available to customers aged 14 to 18 years or those with higher risk underlying medical conditions.

Details about our gyms

Spread over two floors, this 85 plus station gym is equipped with an extensive range of equipment that offers a total body workout. Each piece of equipment is designed to work specific areas of the body to improve muscle tone, strength and stamina.

Our gym offers:

  • 53 pieces of cardiovascular equipment including rowers, tread mills, cross trainers, watt bikes and more
  • 13 piece resistance circuit to tone, firm and strengthen
  • functional training rig including battle ropes, core bags, platforms, TRX, pill ropes and more
  • dedicated free weight area with a range of equipment including smith machine, bench press, squat rack, barbells and dumbbells from 2kg to 40kg
  • floor work and stretching zone
  • fully air-conditioned
  • qualified experienced instructors

Whether you are looking to tone up, improve your fitness levels or generally lose some of those unwanted inches, we can help you achieve your fitness goals.

Junior gym sessions

If you are aged 11 to 16 years and want to get fit and have fun, our supervised junior gym sessions could be for you. The session includes a wide range of exercises including use of the cardio equipment, floor work and circuits with the emphasis on having fun and keeping fit.

Sessions at The Pods

  • Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4pm to 5pm

Parental consent forms are needed for all juniors, so please bring your parent on your first session.

Session price: £3.80

Active Exercise referral programme

If you have a long-term medical condition that affects your health and daily life, you may be eligible to join our Active Exercise Referral Scheme. This is a process where your GP or health professional refers you to the centre for an initial 12 week exercise programme to help improve your fitness, quality of life and to meet similar people.

Cost:

  • Adult: 12 week programme (stage 1) – £25
  • Adult: 12 week programme (stage 2) – £50

Please ask a member of the gym team for more information on this scheme.

Our spacious 50+ station gym overlooks the river Ancholme and is fully equipped with the latest range of Life Fitness equipment. The gym has seen significant expansion over the years and it makes for a great all round gym.

Refurbished in 2015, the gym at Baysgarth is well equipped to meet your fitness needs. It is light and airy with windows overlooking the park.

Our gym offers:

  • 12 pieces of cardiovascular equipment including rowers, tread mills, cycles, cross trainers and more
  • 8 piece resistance circuit (including dual purpose machines) to tone, firm and strengthen
  • dedicated free weight area with a Power Rack to accommodate your weight lifting needs, range of dumbbells from 2kg to 40kg and more
  • floor work and stretching zone
  • fully air-conditioned
  • qualified experienced instructors

  • Mondays, 3pm to 4pm (school holiday timetable until 23 August) and cost £3.80

A compact and versatile gym offering both cardiovascular and resistance machines for a full body workout. Our friendly, qualified instructors are on hand to help motivate and advise you on your fitness needs.

The 24 station gym opened in March 2017 as part of the brand new Winterton Library, Local Link and Fitness Centre.
