Membership packages and information

To stay fit and healthy it is recommended that adults should try to do at least 150 minutes of moderate exercise every week. One way to achieve this is to exercise for 30 minutes on at least five days a week.

How to join us

If you are interested in joining or would like to have a look around our facilities, please contact the leisure centre you are interested in to book an appointment with our Membership Advisor. During your tour we will show you around the centre, discuss your fitness requirements and the membership options available. If you decide to join we will set-up your membership and book your first visit in the gym.

This membership package gives you:

  • Access to casual swimming and programmed pool sessions – excluding lessons
  • Use of all North Lincolnshire Council run swimming pools
  • ‘Price for life’ when paying by direct debit – terms and conditions apply

Payment options:

Committed – monthly direct debit £20 joining fee plus £26 per month (minimum 12 month contract with one month cancellation period)
Non-committed – monthly direct debit £20 joining fee plus £30 per month (no minimum contract period)
Annual – full payment for 12 months £260

Before using any of our gyms you must attend a first visit with an instructor, even if you have used another gym before. Our instructors will show you how to use the equipment. They can prescribe an exercise programme designed specifically for your health and fitness needs.

We offer two options to join our gym.

Health and fitness package

Our health and fitness membership includes:

  • Unlimited use of the gym
  • Casual and programmed pool sessions – excluding lessons
  • Group fitness classes – as advertised on the timetable
  • Use of the squash court for racket ball and squash – limited to 1 court per evening, 5pm onwards
  • Use of the badminton court for badminton, short tennis and table tennis.
  • Free racket hire for you and your opponents – refundable deposit required
  • Six personal gym exercise programmes (committed or annual packages only)
  • Access to ‘self-check-in’ at Ancholme Leisure Centre and The Pods
  • Activity booking eight days in advance
  • Use at all North Lincolnshire Council leisure facilities
  • ‘Price for life’ when paying by direct debit – terms and conditions apply

Payment options:

Committed – monthly direct debit £20 joining fee plus £35 per month (minimum 12 month contract with one month cancellation period)
Non-committed – monthly direct debit £20 joining fee plus £40 per month (no minimum contract period)
Annual – full payment for 12 months £350

Casual gym membership package

Enjoy full use of the gym on a pay-as-you-go basis, perfect for once a week usage.

Payment options:

Adult member £20 joining fee then £5.50 per session
Junior member £10 joining fee then £3.00 per session

Casual membership is valid for a 12 month period and must be renewed each year. Renewal is free of charge as long as your membership is still valid.

Junior members are welcome from the age of 14 to 16 years. They must be accompanied by an adult gym member when using the gym.

We welcome juniors aged 14 to 16 years to join our gym however, you must be accompanied by an adult member on every visit. You can join as a junior member or as a casual gym member on a pay-as-you-go basis.

Junior fitness package

This package is designed specifically for children aged 14 to 16 years.

  • use of the gym – adult supervision required
  • casual swimming and programmed pool sessions – excluding lessons and age related sessions
  • use of the squash courts for racket ball and squash – limited to one court per evening, 5pm onwards
  • use of the badminton court for badminton, short tennis and table tennis
  •  free racket hire for you and your opponents – refundable deposit required
  • activity booking eight days in advance
  • use of all North Lincolnshire Council leisure facilities

Payment options:

Non-committed – monthly direct debit £5 joining fee plus £17 per month (no minimum contract period)
Annual £170

Junior casual gym membership

Enjoy full use of the gym on a pay-as-you-go basis, perfect for once a week usage.

Payment options:

Junior casual gym member £10 joining fee then £3.00 per session

Casual membership is valid for a 12 month period and must be renewed each year. Renewal is free of charge as long as your membership is still valid.

Junior gym sessions – instructor led

If you are aged 11 to 16 years and want to get fit and have fun, our supervised junior gym sessions could be for you. The session includes a wide range of exercises including use of the cardio equipment, floor work and circuits. The aim is to have fun and keep fit.

Sessions run at The Pods

  • Tuesday and Thursday 4.30pm to 5.30pm
  • Saturday 11am to 12pm

Parental consent forms are needed for all juniors, so please bring your parent on your first session.

Session price: £3.80

North Lincolnshire residents in receipt of a qualifying benefit or qualifying criteria can sign-up and save on a range of leisure activities within North Lincs.

You can purchase an Active Card from any North Lincolnshire Council Leisure Centre with proof of address and circumstance. Cards cost £5.00 and are valid for 12 months from date of purchase.

  • single day entry to Normanby Hall Country Park
  • casual rounds of golf at Normanby Hall Golf Course.

Qualifying categories and criteria

  • Attendance allowance

Or you are a:

  • Student in full time education (aged 17 years plus and in education 21 hours a week or more)
  • Apprentices & persons on a full time government training scheme
  • Serving Armed Forces Personnel including reservists

Proof of circumstance

When purchasing your Active Card, you will need to bring proof of residency and an awarding letter (dated within the last 3 months) relating to your circumstance.

If you are applying for an Active Card as a full-time student or an apprentice, you will need to provide a letter from your education establishment or your employer. The letter should confirm you are in full time education or on a full-time training scheme.

A leisure booking card enables you to book activities up to eight days in advance. Bookings can be made in person at the customer service desk or over the telephone and can be paid for at time of registering your attendance for your activity. Bookings can also be made using the online booking portal. Bookings made using the portal must be paid for at time of finalising the booking and ‘checking out’ of the portal.

Leisure booking cards are valid for 12 months from date of purchase and cost £5.
