(Various Streets) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting and Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement and Consolidation) Order 2019 (Various Streets and Roads, Scunthorpe and Kirton-in-Lindsey) (Amendment) Order 2024

We are proposing to amend the traffic regulation order (parking restrictions), as detailed below:

  • Enderby Road, Scunthorpe – On the western side of Enderby Rd (near No 104), Scunthorpe, a restriction of No Stopping Monday to Friday 8am-4pm on Keep Clear Markings and on the eastern side of Enderby Rd (near No 129), Scunthorpe a restriction of No Stopping Monday to Friday 8.15am-9.15am & 2.45pm-3.45pm on Keep Clear Markings. A temporary 7.5tonne weight restriction was implemented on the majority of Idle Bank in October 2022, to help with issues along the road and appropriate signing is in place advising motorists of the order.

We are now proposing to make this restriction permanent and notice is hereby given that North Lincolnshire Borough Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (4) and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to impose a 7.5 tonnes and over, except for loading, weight restriction on the length of Idle Bank between Thorne Road and Wroot Road, and the length of Idle Bank between Poles Bank and Cove Rd.

The attached drawing shows the extent of the scheme. Also attached is a copy of the statutory notice and statement of reasons.

Any objections to the proposal specifying the grounds on which they are made should be sent in writing to either the Traffic Safety Team, Billet Lane, Normanby Enterprise Park, Scunthorpe DN15 9YH or traffic@northlincs.gov.uk not later than 16 May 2024.

NORTH LINCOLNSHIRE COUNCIL (Various Streets) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting and Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement and Consolidation) Order 2019 (Various Streets and Roads, Elsham, Hibaldstow, South Killingolme, Brigg and Scunthorpe) (Amendment) Order 2024.

We are proposing to amend the traffic regulation order (parking restrictions), as detailed below:

TRO – notifications

Our recent traffic regulation orders (TRO) are listed below when they need to be published. They will be effective from the dates shown.

You must make an application to the High Court within six weeks of the date the order was made to question the validity of an order or any provision contained in them on the grounds that they are not within the powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that a requirement of that Act or any instrument made under it has not been complied with.

Notice is hereby given that on 17th July 2024 North Lincolnshire Council made an order under sections 1(1) and 2(1) to (3) and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which is to implement a one way movement order on Teale Street and Percival Street, Scunthorpe. Teale St will run in a northerly direct between West St and Berkeley St. Percival St will run in a easterly direction between Frodingham Road and Teale St.

Notice is hereby given that on 15th May 2024, North Lincolnshire Council made an Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (4) and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which is to make permanent the experimental 7.5 tonne weight zone restrictions currently in operation, namely to (1) impose a 7.5 tonne except for loading weight restriction in the Ferry Ward Area Weight Zone bounded by the lengths of Road as described in Schedule 1 and as shown on Drawing No Ferry/WR/001 Rev C; and (2) revoke existing Weight Limit Orders as described in Schedule 2. Exemptions to the Ferry Ward Area Weight Zone are as described in Schedule 3. Exemption (2) in Schedule 3 has been amended to reflect the observations/comments made during the 18 months experimental period. The Order will come into effect on 30th May 2024.

Notice is hereby given that, on 13 December 2023, North Lincolnshire Council made an Order under Sections 1, 2, 4, 5, 32, 35, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which is to amend the Order specified in the Schedule to the extent described in that Schedule. The Order will take effect on 20 Dec 2023.

Notice is hereby given that on 11 Oct 2023, North Lincolnshire Council made an Order under Sections 1, 2, 4, 5, 32, 35, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which is to amend the Order specified in the Schedule to the extent described in that Schedule. The Order will take effect on 18 Oct 2023.

Notice High St_Spruce Lane Ulceby_Market Place Owston Ferry 2nd notice [PDF, 58Kb]

Notice is hereby given that, following application to the Department for Transport, approval has been given for an extension of the above Order until 6 October 2024 or until completion of the works, whichever is earlier. The continuation of this weight restriction is necessary to allow the Highway Authority (North Lincolnshire Council) to carry out further investigations on the length of Idle Bank between Thorne Rd and Wroot Rd and the length of Idle Bank between Poles Bank and Cove Rd, and to prevent further deterioration caused by HGVs using these lengths of road. Also, to allow NLC to conduct a consultation exercise on making the Order permanent.
