Children in South Ferriby are enjoying a fantastic revamped playground, thanks to a community grant.
South Ferriby Parish Council was awarded £7,580 from North Lincolnshire Council’s Community Grant Fund to bring the project to life, installing new safety surfacing and equipment which has created a safe, fun and welcoming space for local families.
The new playground is giving children somewhere to play, explore and spend time outdoors, while also bringing families together at the heart of the village.
Cllr Rob Waltham, leader of North Lincolnshire Council, said: “This is exactly the kind of project our Community Grant Fund is here to support – something that brings real benefits to local people and creates a space the whole community can enjoy.
“It’s great to see South Ferriby Parish Council investing in facilities for children and families, and this new playground will make a big difference for years to come.”
Since launching in 2011, the Community Grant Fund has supported hundreds of projects across North Lincolnshire, helping communities grow, improve and thrive.
