Traffic lights

We install traffic lights to manage traffic flows and to deal with traffic hazards.

Temporary traffic lights associated with roadworks are usually managed by whoever is doing the work. There should be a sign close by, with details of how to contact them about issues.

Before you start

You’ll need to provide:

• An accurate location for the problem
• A description of the problem
• Your contact details, if you want updates

What happens next

We treat many traffic light faults as urgent, which means we aim to fix them within 4 hours of them being reported.

Non-urgent faults that don’t pose an immediate danger to pedestrians and vehicle users have a target fix time of 24 hours.
