Fostering information

Family finding

We work thoughtfully to match children with families who can offer love, stability, and understanding.

Our team takes the time to truly get to know each child’s needs and each family’s strengths. Together, we create safe, nurturing connections that support every child’s future.

Read on to find out more about some of the children in our care. Could you offer a forever home?

Meet Maisie and Finn

Maisie (7) and Finn (5) are a sibling group looking for a stable, nurturing long‑term home where they can grow up together.

Maisie is a bright, creative and affectionate girl with a wonderful imagination. She enjoys painting, drawing, air‑dry clay and diamond art, and has recently taken an interest in sewing – often making things for her dolls, which she proudly takes out in her pram.

Maisie is chatty and inquisitive, and thrives on reassurance and gentle encouragement. She benefits from clear routines and calm support, especially in new or unfamiliar situations.

Finn is a fun‑loving, energetic boy who sees everything as an adventure. He loves racing cars, building, and flying paper aeroplanes, as well as spending time outdoors exploring and climbing. Finn has a big love for superheroes – especially Spiderman and enjoys imaginative, active play.

Together, Maisie and Finn share a strong bond. Both children can experience big feelings at times and benefit from patient, understanding adults who can offer consistency, warmth and gentle guidance.

At school, both are making good progress. Maisie particularly enjoys reading, while Finn is building confidence with speech, communication and early literacy, which he is very proud of.

Maisie and Finn need trauma‑informed carers who can provide a loving, structured home and support their individual needs while keeping them together. With the right care, they have great potential to grow in confidence and emotional security.

Could you offer Maisie and Finn a forever home together? Email fostering@northlincs.gov.uk or call the Fostering Team on 01724 297024.

Meet Lily and Oliver

Lily is eight years old and Oliver is six years old; they lived with their parents and two other siblings who have significant learning difficulties. Lily and Oliver are unable to stay at home and are looking for a long-term foster family to look after them.

Lily is a bundle of energy and is very excitable, she gets along with everyone and is described as a delight. Lily has made progress in school but still needs a carer that can give extra time and attention to her; Lily thrives when having clear, consistent boundaries in her life.

As for Oliver… he is a fun little boy with a caring nature. He enjoys routines and he likes to know what he is doing in advance. He has a good imagination and can play well with others as well as on his own at times, often partaking in sports clubs with friends. Oliver needs to have a patient and understanding carer that can help make transitions easier as he struggles to regulate this himself. His previous carers have described him as an adorable, caring, loving little boy.

Meet Arthur

Arthur is a bright, energetic five-year-old boy, with a wonderful imagination and a loving nature. We are searching for a patient, understanding and committed family who can offer him a stable, long-term home into adulthood.

Arthur loves active and outdoor play. In the warmer months you’ll often find him running, climbing, swinging or playing in the sandpit. He also enjoys exploring wildlife in the garden and discovering.

Arthur is described as a determined and strong-willed child who often prefers to play independently, although he can join in with peers at school for short periods. He enjoys sensory play and exploring different textures.

Arthur has a diagnosis of autism, so we are seeking carers who understand autism and can support him through routines and transitions. Arthur forms warm relationships with trusted adults and is a loving little boy who deserves a family to help with thrive.

Could you be a forever family for Arthur? Email fostering@northlincs.gov.uk or call the Fostering Team on 01724 297024.

Please note: Arthur is not his real name.
