Workshops to help small businesses grow

11:22, Tuesday, 6th November 2018
RedKite Innovations, working with North Lincolnshire Council, are offering free executive development workshops for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the tourism and retails sectors. The two days of workshops will take place on Wednesday 21 November, from 9.30am to 4.30pm at the Buttercross in Brigg; and Wednesday 5 December, from 9.30am to 4.30pm at Waters’ Edge Visitor Centre in Barton upon Humber.
There is no charge for this programme as it is fully funded by the ERDF (European Regional Development Fund and Skills Development Agency).
The workshops will be targeted at the specific needs of the businesses. Each business applying will choose four workshops from the following and the most popular will be delivered:
  • Marketing and customer development
  • Strategic business planning and development
  • Developing and maintaining my business culture
  • HR, performance management and recruitment
  • Product and service innovation and development
  • Developing and structuring partnership
  • Operational systems and process development
The focus is upon SMEs that want to grow and the workshops are geared towards this aim of growth. Each will be practical and use tools which can be applied to each business.
Each participating company must be an SME (less than 250 employees) and complete the relevant paperwork at the beginning of the course. The participants must commit to completing both workshops on both days.
There will be a maximum of between 20 and 25 businesses attending these sessions so book now to avoid disappointment.
If your business is eligible and you would like to attend, please email tourism@northlincs.gov.uk for a registration form.
RedKite Innovations will provide interactive and practical business growth workshops which will be shaped around the growth needs of the businesses and will focus on developing the skills of the person to drive growth.  We will be using tools that the business can apply immediately into their business.
