PLEASE NOTE: Due to the unfavourable weather forecast, Titan the Robot and Folk Dance Remixed will not be appearing in Church Square for the Play event on Saturday (5 August). Titan will be visiting next Saturday (12 August) instead.

Pop-up Puppet Cinema is still happening along with all the exciting events and activities planned for the launch of the Art in Miniatures exhibition at 20-21 Visual Arts Centre, including a visit from the Troll!

20-21 Visual Arts Centre is playing host to Play, an exhilarating day of creativity and entertainment that promises to ignite the imagination of children and adults alike.

The fun and interactive event, incorporating a Robotic Showstopper family fun day, is taking place on Saturday 5 August, 11am to 4pm.

Look out for the Troll, who will be visiting 20-21 as part of the launch of their Art in Miniatures exhibition – the first ever exhibition of fantasy miniatures in a public art gallery.

There will also be performances from the hilarious Pop-up Puppet Cinema, which condenses classic films into live puppet shows, at 2pm and 3.30pm.

At 20-21, the Robotic Showstopper family fun day will see artists on hand creating artworks, talking to visitors and sharing advice on creating and painting miniatures.

There will also be robot arts and crafts, free face painting and a ‘miniature world’ activity.

Pupils from the nearby UTC will be talking about their exhibition White Noise, which they have created in response to a kinetic sculpture by Peter William Holden.

Scunthorpe Central will be putting on Summer Reading Challenge activities until 1pm.
