Discover all that St John’s Market in Scunthorpe has to offer at the Summer Fair on Saturday 29 July.

From 10am to 4pm, families are welcome to drop-in and get involved. There will be entertainment throughout the day and a range of activities, as well as gift tables.

The fair is in support of the Mayor of North Lincolnshire’s charities, Macmillan Cancer Support Scunthorpe and Hope House BFS. The Bosom Belles choir from Hope House will be serenading shoppers on the day.

As well as a summer trail competition there will also be a games area with Connect Four, football and giant chess, plus live music from local musician Holly Emma.

The Mayor of North Lincolnshire, Cllr Janet Longcake, said: “It is fantastic to see St John’s Market supporting my chosen charities. They are truly worthy organisations, both of which are close to my heart and provide vital help to residents in North Lincolnshire.

“Please go along to the Summer Fair and show your support. Any donations – big or small – make a big difference.”

Cllr John Davison, cabinet member for Safer, Stronger Communities – Ashby, Bottesford and Scunthorpe, said: “St John’s Market in Scunthorpe is a hive for independent retailers and offers a real variety of products and services.

“There are some great events planned for the rest of the year, which will help showcase all that the market has to offer as well as supporting local charities.”

St John’s Market is set to host even more events throughout the year, including an End of Summer Fair on 2 September, Macmillan Coffee Morning on 30 September and Light Switch On, on 25 November.
