Visitors to Baysgarth Park in Barton-upon-Humber and Central Park in Scunthorpe will be able to challenge themselves with a new 10 station exercise circuit when the area’s first Park Fit courses launch later this month.

As part of Park Fit, people can choose to run, jog or walk around the free 800m circuits. At each of the signposts, visitors will find a simple body weight exercise to complete, carefully designed to boost cardiovascular fitness.

Each sign even has its own QR code, which can be scanned on a mobile device to reveal a demonstration of the exercise. The video also features modified versions to simplify the workouts.

The Park Fit circuits will launch on 9 April at Baysgarth Park and 16 April at Central Park. Both much-loved green spaces received the Green Flag Award last year, with Baysgarth Park also voted the best in the area by Viking FM listeners in February 2021.

Park Fit is one of a host of activities included in FUELLED, an exciting new programme of family-friendly activities to enjoy through the Easter holidays. To find out more, visit our website.
