Community organisations interested in running summer activity sessions for families across North Lincolnshire are being invited to find out more at a choice of online information events this month.

Since launching in April 2021, the council has worked with more than 50 community partners to build the popular activity programme known as FUELLED.

To date, more than 1,700 children, many of them eligible for benefit-related free school meals have enjoyed a fantastic variety of boredom-busting activities, including an incredible 900 young people over the 2022 Easter holiday alone.

Now, the council is looking to work with more local businesses, charities, schools and other groups to make the summer 2022 programme the biggest and best yet.

At the information events, taking place on five dates between 11 and 18 May 2022, these community groups will have the opportunity to find out more about the programme and how to access funding to deliver the activities.

Any activities provided as part of FUELLED should ensure that children and young people receive:

  • a healthy meal
  • an enriching activity
  • a chance to be physically active for 60 minutes
  • nutritional education.

To register for an information event, visit the council website.

The FUELLED activity programme is a partnership project, delivered by North Lincolnshire Council alongside local businesses and funded by the Department of Education.
