Last chance to apply for “high-quality” teacher training programme praised for exceptional support and inclusion

With just a couple of days left before applications close, aspiring teachers are being urged to apply now for the North Lincolnshire SCITT Partnership’s highly rated teacher training programme.

The programme, which starts this September, has already filled most of its available places and is now entering its final recruitment phase.

The call comes as Ofsted has praised the partnership for its high-quality teacher training, exceptional support for trainees and strong culture of inclusion.

Inspectors highlighted the programme’s commitment to ensuring every trainee feels valued, supported and equipped to succeed, alongside the strength of mentoring, personalised guidance and wellbeing support available throughout training.

Cllr Julie Reed, cabinet member for children, families and young people, said: “This is a fantastic endorsement of the North Lincolnshire SCITT Partnership and the dedicated schools and staff who help train the next generation of teachers.

“Teaching is one of the most rewarding careers there is. Every day brings new challenges, new opportunities and the chance to make a lasting difference to young people’s lives.

“We especially value our trainee teachers and on this internal program they experience high class training in SEND and Disability – which aligns with our promise to keep children in their local schools and communities, and ensuring every child has the opportunity to thrive.

“With places filling quickly and applications closing soon, I would encourage anyone considering a career in teaching to take a look and apply now.”

Trainees learn in real school environments from day one, working alongside experienced teachers while developing the skills, confidence and knowledge needed to thrive in the classroom.

The programme offers regular one-to-one support, expert mentoring, tailored development opportunities and a comprehensive wellbeing package developed in partnership with the local authority and schools across the region.

Many trainees go on to secure teaching positions in local schools, helping to strengthen education across North Lincolnshire and beyond.
