The popular Easter Daze free swimming programme is back, and young people will be able to swim for free at leisure centres across North Lincolnshire.

This includes the council’s leisure centres in Brigg, Crowle, Barton-upon-Humber, plus the two Scunthorpe pools at The Pods and Riddings and Epworth Swimming Pool.

The popular sessions will start on Monday 7 April and end on Monday 21 April, with all children under 16 able to swim for free during the special sessions.

Children aged between 8 and 16 attending the Easter Daze sessions will need to book their places in advance online. Parents bringing younger children to the free sessions will be able to just turn up and book at reception. The Easter Daze family sessions can also be booked in advance on the website, and in our specific family sessions the whole family can attend for free, not just the children.

Cllr Julie Reed, cabinet member for independent families: children, said: “As a parent I know it can be difficult planning activities every day during the holidays, which is why I am pleased to see a return of these successful free sessions.

“It’s a brilliant way for kids to have fun with their friends in a secure environment with trained lifeguards to help them stay safe.  As always, we remind children that it is not safe to swim in open water and to make the most of this opportunity to swim safely.”

Look out for the Easter Daze sessions on the pool timetables.

Note: information on the sessions at Epworth Swimming Pool can be found on the Epworth Pool website.
