This year’s public health report, Our Health, Our Place’ written by Diane Lee, Director of Public Health in North Lincolnshire, has been published and available for all to read on the North Lincolnshire Council website.
The report traces the progress of public health year on year, providing a valuable insight that helps everyone to understand how far North Lincolnshire has come and what comes next.
It dives into local data and details current factors that influence the health of our communities, alongside the annual ambitions of the Director of Public Health.
Cllr Christine Patterson, cabinet member for healthy lives and places said: “The Public Health Report has a fresh and different narrative this year focusing on harnessing health as an asset and identifying the key factors that contribute to the health and wellbeing in our communities, such as housing, education, work, right down to the food we eat.
“We are looking at the bigger picture and the circumstances in which our residents are born, grow, live, work and age. This enables us to paint a clear and detailed picture of our ambitions and how we plan to achieve those ambitions for all in North Lincolnshire.
“We are extremely proud of our achievements so far and the on-going resilience shown by all, but public health is everyone’s business and there is always more to be done to ensure a healthy and sustainable future for everyone, living, working and visiting our county.”
The report provides an opportunity for engaging with local communities and supports professionals trying to improve health outcomes.
It also details the eight key levers to health across North Lincolnshire and the ambitions for the future.
