Seven-thousand families on the lowest incomes in North Lincolnshire will have £25 knocked off their 2023 – 2024 council tax bills.
Households which receive council tax support will have their bills reduced by £25 automatically – with no need to apply.
A further 3,000 pensioners on the lowest incomes have their council tax paid in full.
Cllr Rob Waltham, leader of North Lincolnshire Council, said: “We will be using this Government cash to support those on the lowest incomes.
“The £25 will make a difference, it is just part of a huge amount of financial assistance that has been provided from the council and government.
“We’ve shared millions of pounds locally to those who need it most, supporting people to buy essential goods and, as with the 5,000 pensioners on lowest income, simply passing on £200.”
