A helpful new feature has been launched making it easier for motorists to plan their journeys across North Lincolnshire.
Every Friday the council is sharing a handy ‘roadworks roundup’ post on its Facebook page, including important information about upcoming works.
The post directs residents to a dedicated page on the council website with an interactive map, where motorists can plan their route and click on known works, road closures, and diversions being carried out by the council and its partners.
Cllr Tim Mitchell, cabinet member for connectivity at North Lincolnshire Council, said: “Helping residents to stay connected to their friends, families, and the places they go to school and work is a key priority.
“We are investing millions of pounds to improve North Lincolnshire’s road network, and many people have already seen the benefits of major re-surfacing programmes in their community.
“We’re investing more still, and while no one likes the temporary inconvenience of road work disruption, these will make travel smoother and safer for everyone.
“Whilst these essential works are being carried out our new roadworks roundup feature will really help residents plan their journeys, enabling them to quickly see works at the click of a button.”
