The popular bus that takes visitors to Normanby Hall Country Park on Saturdays has started up again and will run until the autumn.
The service, which launched in March 2024, has seen hundreds of families take advantage of the service. With lots of upcoming events happening at Normanby Hall, families will be able to use to bus to attend them.
The bus leaves Scunthorpe Bus Station at 9.25am, 11.25am, 1.25pm and 3.25pm and picks up from Normanby Hall at 12.25pm, 2.25pm and 4.25pm back to Scunthorpe Bus Station.
This is an extension of service 4, which will include Normanby Hall Country Park and bring people in from Brigg, Broughton, Timberlands, and Ashby. Service 4 connects at Brigg with service c4 so gives options for people from other places to visit Normanby Hall.
Cllr Tim Mitchell, cabinet member for connectivity, said:
“I am delighted that we have been able to bring the bus service for Normanby Hall Country Park back. It was a huge success since last year with hundreds of families using the service to travel to the popular attraction and I’m sure it will be just as popular this year.
“It has been many years since there was a direct bus service to Normanby Hall, so it is great to see what a difference it is making. Now even more people can enjoy the wonderful events, family friendly activities, beautiful gardens, the region’s only Go Ape, and much more.”
