Residents in Goxhill are invited to a consultation event tomorrow, Wednesday 25 September, from 3.30pm to 7.30pm at Goxhill Memorial Hall to find out about the recent flood alleviation study.

Our Flood Risk and Drainage team will be displaying the maps showing the investigations that have been carried out. The maps show areas that have been identified and proposed to carry work out.

You can ask the team any questions about the work and highlight any areas of concern.

Cllr Richard Hannigan, Deputy Leader of North Lincolnshire Council and ward member for Ferry is encouraging residents to attend the consultation event, he said:

“The protection of people’s homes is right at the top of our agenda and flooding is a risk we take very seriously. This event is the opportunity to find out about the council’s flood alleviation study that has been carried out over the last year in Goxhill.

“Drainage is a complex matter and local knowledge is essential to good planning. It is important that residents pass on their knowledge and have their say on the study and any future works to ensure they are fit for purpose. Drop in anytime between 3.30pm and 7.30pm to ask the team any questions or raise any concerns.”
