15 worthy winners were presented with an award at the Community Champion Awards 2022 which took place on Thursday 24 November at The Baths Hall.
Carers, positive emotional wellbeing champions and volunteers of all ages are just some of the categories that the winners were nominated for.
Now in its tenth year, 150 nominations were received, which were shortlisted down to 30 (individuals and groups) across the 15 award categories.
Well known radio presenter Blair Jacobs returned as compere for the evening.
All sponsors – including the headline sponsors: Jotun Paints (Europe) Ltd, Paul Fox Estate Agents, Pepperells Solicitors and Kapil Care – presented the individual awards.
Cllr John Briggs, chair of the Community Champion Awards Committee, said: “I was delighted to be a part of the 10th anniversary of the Community Champion Awards.
“Judging the nominations is the difficult part, choosing between a group of such worthy winners who have all achieved truly inspiring things.
“I’d like to thank all the sponsors for taking part in the judging and helping shortlist the nominees and thank you to those who took the time to nominate someone.
“Congratulations to all this year’s winners and to every single one of the nominees. I feel proud of our community and all the nominees should be proud of themselves.
“It was a fantastic evening had by all. The Community Champion Awards really do highlight what a fantastic place North Lincolnshire is.”
