Brigg Youth Club has received a significant upgrade thanks to North Lincolnshire Council’s Community Grant Scheme, which is funding the purchase of a new TV, sofa, and shed – transforming the space into a more welcoming and engaging environment for local young people.

The Brigg and the Wolds Methodist Churches have been awarded £3,100 to enhance the youth space, ensuring that young people in Brigg have access to safe and supportive facilities.

Cllr Rob Waltham, leader of North Lincolnshire Council, said:

“We are proud to support Brigg Youth Club at the Methodist Church Hall through our Community Grant Scheme. Investing in young people is investing in the future of our area. These spaces are more than just buildings – they are places where young people can grow, connect, and thrive.

“This funding is part of our ongoing commitment to create opportunities for young people, helping them to build confidence, develop skills, and feel part of their community. We will continue to back projects that make a real difference to their lives.”

North Lincolnshire Council’s Community Grant Fund is a vital source of support for junior and youth groups, charitable bodies, trusts, co-operatives, not-for-profit organisations, and town and parish councils. It also offers individual grants for those demonstrating excellence in sport, art, or culture, and supports youth groups with premises hire.

Since its enhancement in 2011, the fund has delivered millions of pounds in support to hundreds of projects, helping to build stronger, more resilient communities across North Lincolnshire.
