North Lincolnshire Council is supporting an exciting transformation of Wrawby Play Park. An ambitious project aimed at reshaping the village’s recreational landscape for future generations.
The total project costing £54,955 promises to inject new energy into the play area, offering local families a fun, safe environment.
Cllr Rob Waltham, leader of North Lincolnshire Council, praised the initiative: “This is exactly the kind of investment that helps strengthen our communities, whilst supporting our young people in rural areas to have the best possible play equipment.
“We are proud to back projects like this and invest in play activities.
“The planned investment represents more than upgraded play equipment, it’s about building a stronger Wrawby, where families can connect and children and young people can thrive.”
Driving the initiative is Wrawby Parish Council, showcasing the power of grassroots community spirit and commitment to creating a vibrant and accessible space for all ages.
North Lincolnshire council has awarded £21,730 to Wrawby Parish Council through the Community Grants Programme, which supports projects across sport, arts, and heritage that enables communities to flourish.
The new park will encourage outdoor activity, help children develop motor skills and social confidence. It will serve as a safe, inclusive space for young people, reducing isolation and promoting positive play as well as building stronger community ties.
North Lincolnshire Council’s Community Grant Fund delivers investment in junior and youth groups, charitable bodies, trusts, co-operatives, industrial and provident societies, not-for-profit constituted organisations, and town and parish councils. Individual grants are also available if you can demonstrate excellence in sport, art or culture. Junior and youth groups can also apply for grants for premises hire. Since 2011 when the grant was first upgraded, hundreds of projects have benefited from £millions in funding for communities right across North Lincolnshire.
