Funding schemes are available to support voluntary group projects making a difference to the heart of communities across North Lincolnshire.
The importance of volunteers is celebrated during Volunteers’ Week, which this year takes place from 1 to 7 June.
Many community groups, sports clubs, parish and town councils and charities rely on the tireless efforts of volunteers, who play an inspiring role in organising projects that bring people together.
SSE Windfarm Funds enable many of the groups to realise projects that benefit communities across North Lincolnshire.
Supported projects include the Healey Road Education & Wildlife Centre in Scunthorpe. A group of volunteers have transformed a piece of wasteland on the allotments to create the Centre. The area is open to the public and has become a much-loved destination, visited by schools and care homes.
For more information on how your voluntary or community group could benefit from the funding schemes and to read the criteria visit our website or call 01724 297000.
