After months away, traders at Brigg Farmers’ Market are gearing up to welcome back customers on Saturday 27 June.
The market takes place on the fourth Saturday of every month alongside the usual Brigg Market.
Visitors will be able to buy local food, flowers, crafts and more direct from the people who produce it. The market has over 30 stalls selling everything from ostrich to smoked salmon to homemade cakes to sauces.
Following government guidelines, outdoor markets were able to open from Thursday 4 June, with social distancing measures in place to protect customers and stallholders.
People visiting the market are urged to stay alert and follow the instructions that are displayed.
Before returning to trading, each stallholder completed a Covid-19 risk assessment to ensure they have taken the necessary steps to implement government guidance to operate safely.
Additional measures, including floor markings and signage will be displayed, offering advice to customers.
Initially staff will be on hand at the market, monitoring social distancing and volumes of visitors to ensure that people remain safe.
