Spotlight! 2026 returns to The Baths Hall this weekend – with some of North Lincolnshire’s most talented performers set to take centre stage in the area’s biggest celebration of local talent.
From singers and dancers to musicians and performers, this year’s final will see 13 acts perform live in front of a packed audience after battling through a fiercely contested audition process.
Now in its third year, Spotlight has quickly become one of North Lincolnshire’s standout community events – giving local people the chance to perform on a major stage, build confidence and showcase their talent in front of hundreds of people.
Cllr Rob Waltham, leader, North Lincolnshire Council, said: “Spotlight is about giving residents a platform and celebrating the talent, creativity and confidence we have right here in North Lincolnshire.
“Over the last three years the event has grown into something people genuinely look forward to, with families, performers and audiences all coming together for a brilliant night at The Baths Hall.
“For many performers this is a huge moment – stepping out onto a major stage in front of a live audience – and that’s what makes the event so special.”
The event takes place on Saturday 9 May 2026 at The Baths Hall in Scunthorpe and is once again sponsored by Kapil Care Homes.
Speaking about supporting the event for a second year, Sunil Kapil said: “As a long-standing, locally owned care provider, our roots are firmly planted in this community, and we are thrilled to support an evening that celebrates the incredible creativity and spirit of our region.”
After a series of live auditions at the Plowright Theatre, judges selected 13 finalists to compete in this year’s show; Bethany Gibson & Gregory Mell, Em-B, Grace & Jack, Autumn & Fauna, Harley Johnson, Max Snell, Keely Jayde Gow, Robyn Houseley-Smith, Mathilda Kemshall, Mia Bellamy, Team Mayoora, Poppy Elouise and Studio 7.
Hosted by Darren Johnson, the evening will feature live performances, audience participation and guest judges from across the entertainment industry.
The judging panel includes:
• Kieron O’Sullivan – Story Producer for ITV’s Coronation Street
• Lee Waddingham – Founder of Acting Lincs and professional performer/director
• Zoe Wright – Professional musical theatre actress and local pantomime favourite
• Cllr Mayor Carol Ross – Mayor of North Lincolnshire
The winner of Spotlight! 2026 will receive a £1,000 grand prize.
