Early Years Team

Standards and Effectiveness

The Early Years team in North Lincolnshire is based at the Learning Development Centre in Scunthorpe. We offer support, advice and guidance on the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) to all Ofsted registered providers of care and education 0-5 years.  This includes early years provision in schools, nurseries, pre-schools, childminders and out of school clubs.  We work alongside other services and agencies both within the council and external stakeholders.

For more information or to request support from the Early Years team please do not hesitate to contact us on 01724 296650.

Integrated health care checks

For all children attending Ofsted registered provision.

All childminders and practitioners should ensure that they are completing the Progress check at age two as a statutory requirement of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). The integrated health care check is completed in partnership with health colleagues alongside the two year health check (ASQ).
