Risk Management is the process of identifying risks, evaluating their potential consequences and determining and implementing the most effective way of controlling and monitoring them.

Risk management is an important part of how North Lincolnshire Council achieves its priorities. The Council proactively manages its risks, and this allows us not only to manage current priorities, but meet future challenges and opportunities. As part of this it has produced a Risk & Opportunities Protocol. This defines how risks will be managed by the Council. It provides guidance on the processes, procedures, roles and responsibilities for risk. It sets the context on how risks are managed.
