Our vision for North Lincolnshire SCITT trainees

The North Lincolnshire SCITT Partnership is resolute in its desired purpose to train well-rounded teachers, regardless of age phase or specialism, who stay and work as members of the high-quality local education workforce, who not only understand their local neighbourhood context, but who contribute to the future growth and development of the wider North Lincolnshire Community.

We want our teachers to be highly effective and creative, based on their deepening understanding of what works best as evidenced through research and reflection.

Ofsted noted that

“Trainees benefit from an experience that is attuned to their local context. Leaders develop teachers who are strong, successful and committed to the local area. Trainees feel well supported. They say that leaders’ commitment to them shines through. Trainees appreciate working in a network of local schools. All stakeholders are passionately committed to the success of the SCITT and recognise its importance in the local educational landscape.”

We are based at Sir John Nelthorpe School in Brigg where we have a bespoke training facility and office. However we work with the majority of schools across North Lincolnshire to offer high quality placements;
