Street cleaning and hazards

Dead animals

We will collect dead animals from public roads only, within two days of being reported. We do not remove dead animals on private land – you should contact the land owner directly.

All dead animals – whether domestic or wild – will be disposed of. However, we keep a descriptive log for collected cats and dogs to allow for their identification and they are stored in appropriate conditions for a minimum period of one week, should the owner be traced and wishes to collect. Please contact Neighbourhood Services on customerservice@northlincs.gov.uk

Please report dead animals that need removing using the online form:

You can report an issue to us online, using our dedicated form, or you can contact us by phone, on 01724 297000.
