Our Family Hubs are here for everyone to enjoy. Offering advice, help and sessions to support families within North Lincolnshire. Our services are free of charge and activities are inclusive to all children, young people and parents/ guardians.

We provide a range of family support and activities from early years activities, family health, parenting, money matters, training, craft activities, messy play, baby yoga and baby massage, sensory play and story times.

Pop in to any of the Family Hubs to find out more.

Families and parents to be, can also find information, advice and guidance enabling them to give their child the best start in life and support their parenting journey on the NHS Start for Life website.

Free online courses – Solihull Approach

Parents, carers, grandparents, and teens have a variety of free online courses available to them.

Learn to understand a child’s development, right from pregnancy to postnatal and up to the age of 19 years and ways to support them and strengthen relationships.

There are courses for teens to understand their feelings and how their brain is developing, as well as for adults to gain an understanding of trauma and relationships.

Learn through play with the EasyPeasy app

EasyPeasy is a personalised parenting app that provides tailored tips and activity ideas for parents and children aged 0 to five.

It can help transform everyday moments into playful connections and build parenting confidence in supporting a child’s early development.

Volunteering within the Family Hubs?

We have a range of volunteering options within our Family Hubs. From Breast feeding peer support volunteers, to becoming a regular member of our popular parent/ carers panel, and family hub volunteering helping with sessions and events within our Family Hubs.

Antenatal classes can help you to prepare for your baby’s birth and give you confidence and information. You will learn how to look after and feed your baby, stay healthy during pregnancy, make a birth plan, and meet new people.

You will be able to discuss your plans and worries with our health visitor team. These sessions are a good way to make friends with other parents who are expecting babies. Appointment only via the Health Visitors on 0800 0199951.

A wonderful bonding session for parents/guardian and baby.

Using lovingly rhythmic strokes to areas of babies’ body, massage offers a wonderful experience and special time to communicate with your baby. Benefits include reduced crying, longer sleep, relaxation, relief from pain and discomfort and aids development of body awareness and coordination.

Sessions are run in five week blocks and advance booking is required.

Baby massage and reflexology

Spending special 1-1 time with your baby can provide a great bonding experience. Baby massage and reflexology points and techniques can also stimulate all the systems within the body and help to bring the body into balance supporting overall development, health and wellness.

Learn baby sign language in a child-centred fun and motivating way. Suitable for babies 12 to 14 months old.

Sessions are run in eight week blocks and advance booking is required.

A wonderful bonding session for parents/guardian and baby and is suitable for children aged eight weeks and above.

Sensory play, movement and songs to help your babies development.

Sessions are run in five week blocks and advance booking is required.

A great bonding time for babies and their parents/ guardian. Baby yoga helps with multiple areas of baby development whilst promoting relaxation for both baby and parent. It can help to build and strengthen communications from an early age. Sessions focus on gentle movements. Suitable for babies 8 weeks plus, and suitable until baby starts to crawl.

Toddler book chatter, learn how sharing books, songs and rhymes can help your little one become a better talker, and improve their listening skills. Fun filled  session where you can enjoy time with your child and get ideas and activities to take home. Please book in advance by contacting us.

Weekly play sessions for babies & their parents/carers.

Baby’s First Friends groups are run by our community nursery nurses and are for non mobile babies.

The sessions are free to attend and no booking is required, just drop in. Suitable for babies age 1 and under.

A time to chat to other parents and guardians about parenting stories. Pre school children welcome.

Enjoy preparing healthy breakfast snacks, meet other parents and our family hub staff. Discuss difficulties or concerns you may have or gain skills and advice while meeting new people and sharing stories. All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult. No booking required, just drop in.

Group sessions where parents can meet to share advice and experiences on breastfeeding. We aim to help breastfeeding parents to have the confidence and feel confident when breastfeeding.

We offer debt advice and support for families within our family hubs.

Crosby Community Association will process referrals and offer benefit and debt advice within our family hub sessions.

Bedwetting is common in toddlers. It can be upsetting, but most children and young people will grow out of it. These sessions will offer tips and things you can do at home to help with bedwetting. Our friendly understanding staff are on hand .

Suitable for all ages, to come along and enjoy themed activities and play opportunities with their parents/guardians.

Activities are carefully planned to support all areas of early years development. Parents can enjoy a safe place to interact with their children and meet other parents.

Family Hub staff are on hand to offer support and answer questions about child development and support any worries parents may have.

Weekly play sessions for children aged 0 to five years.

No booking required, just drop in.

Find out about the process and the lifelong support we’ll provide to you. Please speak to a staff member if you would like to attend.

Open to any woman who wishes to know more about domestic abuse.

It is a 12 week rolling programme, that is confidential and free and you don’t need to book to attend.

Each group has a facilitator who is fully trained with a deep understanding of the issues surrounding domestic abuse.

Play and cook session for children and parent/ carers. Each week we will learn how to cook some basic meals together. Children will be able to help prepare a range of healthy foods.
This is a weekly drop in session.

Within our family hubs, regular health and development reviews take place to support you and your baby. Our health visitors are available to make sure their development is on track. A great way to ask questions and talk about any concerns you may have within our hubs.

A holistic maternal healthy weight programme for mums to be.

Being overweight increases the chance of complications for you and your baby. Eating healthy and doing regular exercise such as walking and swimming can help.

Within our Family Hubs we offer free maternity weight management sessions to help you stay healthy during pregnancy.

This new supportive community group aims to promote positive parenting for men. These groups provide new dads with the support and connection they need during the early stages of fatherhood. Drop in session.

A messy play session for young children to enjoy and experience different materials and creative play. Ideal for ages 6 months plus. Drop in session.

The Parent Carer Panel brings together family members and community representatives to identify and discuss key themes and co-produce services. Ensuring the essential involvement of parents, children and their families in the development of local Family Hubs.

If you would like to attend a session please get in touch to discuss our panel process. Sessions do run in school time and childcare is provided if needed.

This eight week course is about building self-esteem and confidence in girls. We focus on the impact of media and other’s opinions and how this effects the way we feel, dress, present and act and learn to appreciate we are all individual and eventually/hopefully become The Girl I Want To Be.

Aimed at children 12 months to 3 years.

Toddler Time is a brand new toddler session which will focus on observing and exploring children’s patterns of play.

Do you find yourself asking the question, ‘Why is he/she doing this? Then this brand new course is for you and your little one.

Toddler Time offers the perfect development structured play sessions. Courses run in five week blocks, please book in advance. Focussing on observing and exploring children’s patterns of play, using everyday objects and simple resources. Includes songs and rhymes and a story.

An opportunity for young parents to come together, meet new people and gain support and advice from our experienced family workers. Just turn up.

Ashby Youth Club provide a wide range of activities for young people aged 10-16years (School years 6-11). Activities include table football, Nintendo Switch, craft, puzzles, cooking and many more. The youth centre also provides a chill area for young people to hang out, listen to music and chat. Our trained and experienced youth workers are able to support young people with social and personal developmental skills this has previously included supporting young people with homework.
