The Big North Lincolnshire Talent Show, Spotlight! is set to take over The Baths Hall on Saturday 20 April 2024 and the full line up of acts that will take centre stage has now been revealed.

The biggest talent show that North Lincolnshire has ever seen, sponsored by Jason Threadgold Funeral Director, promises to captivate audiences with a mesmerizing array of talent ranging from ballet to street dance, solo singers to live bands and rap to opera!

The Mayor of North Lincolnshire, Cllr Janet Longcake said: “After attending the judging for the talent show I was inspired by the huge amount of talent we have in North Lincolnshire.

“I cannot wait to see all the finalists on stage, alongside compere Darren Johnson, aka the renowned Annie Fanny. It’s going to be a true celebration of the talent, creativity, and diversity that we have here in North Lincolnshire.

“Good luck to all the finalists.”

After being inundated with applications and following live auditions Scunthorpe Theatres managed to whittle down the entries to the final 12.

With Darren Johnson as host, it’s guaranteed to be a very special evening full of talent, audience participation, laughter, and entertainment. Darren will be joined on the night by three judges who have the difficult task of deciding who will make it to the top three.

The judging panel comprises of The Mayor of North Lincolnshire, Cllr Janet Longcake, Jake West and Lee Waddingham.

Jake is another popular local pantomime star and can usually be found on stage next to Annie Fanny every Christmas.

Lee is the founder of Acting Lincs and a professional performer and director. He has over 200 individual professional productions to his credit and has produced and created shows starring Oscar, Bafta and Olivier Award winners.

The live audience is then set to make the most difficult decision of all and will vote for their number one choice. The lucky winner will be awarded the grand prize of £1000.
