Measures to help people feel safe and secure on the streets of North Lincolnshire have been shortlisted for an industry award.

Action to improve street lighting across the region has been so successful the council made the shortlist for the Most Improved category in the highly regarded APSE Performance Networks Annual Awards, competing against more than 250 other local authorities.

APSE Chief Executive Paul O’Brien said, “APSE’s data benchmarking service allows local government to recognise those top performing authorities alongside those who are striving to continuously improve their frontline services.

“Right across local government our member councils are using our benchmarking data to manage reduced budgets, generate income, improve service performance and ultimately protect our local neighbourhoods.”

The annual awards are hosted by APSE (Association for Public Service Excellence), which brings together more than 250 local authorities in the largest public sector benchmarking service in the UK.

The Performance Network Award celebrates the hard work of local government frontline services.
