A multi-million pound road resurfacing programme has seen a number of key routes completed in the last couple of weeks.
A major scheme through Winterton was completed before Bridge Street in Brigg, Mortal Ash between Scunthorpe and Broughton and Doncaster Road – the main thoroughfare into Scunthorpe town centre – were also resurfaced.
The schemes are part of the council’s programme of works and follow on from upgrades to the road surfaces in Burringham as well as a huge Government-backed scheme along the A15 between Barton and Brigg.
Cllr Rob Waltham, leader, North Lincolnshire Council, said: “It has been a busy summer for the crews in North Lincolnshire, resurfacing a raft of major roads across the area.
“It is a never-ending task and they’ll be moving swiftly on now to their next job having left behind beautiful new roads for communities.
“The impact of new road surfacing is huge for drivers and for passengers, and for the people who live nearby – we’ve committed to backing our communities to flourish and this is a major part of that.”
