A playlist of songs and nursery rhymes to help parents and carers interact with babies and children has been made available via North Lincolnshire Council’s Imagination Library.

Singing Together is sung by local parents and early years practitioners.

The songs were originally given to parents as part of the Big Memories with Little Babies programme with Scunthorpe General Hospital NICU ward.

Now the playlist has been put online so anyone with young children can enjoy them.

There is no accompaniment and the songs have been sung slowly so the words are easy to hear and children can join in.

Singing with your baby helps with brain development and listening skills, and is a fun way to bond with your child.

The Imagination Library, which is funded by the Council, delivers a free book every month to children aged five and under in North Lincolnshire.

Nine out of 10 children in the area are registered with the programme, with each child receiving up to 60 free books by their fifth birthday.

You can listen to the songs here, and find out more information, including how to register your child with the Imagination Library, on the Imagination Library page of our website.
