North Lincolnshire’s biggest programme of walk-in vaccination centres is now well underway with hundreds of people getting a jab without having to book an appointment.
First, second and booster jabs are available at venues across North Lincolnshire.
Clinicians will also be on hand to answer any queries that people might have about the vaccine.
The council’s Test and Trace Team will also be at the centres providing help and advice around testing and handing out free self-test kits. For a full list of pop-up vaccination centres in November visit the North Lincolnshire Council website.
Tessa Lindfield, North Lincolnshire’s Director of Public Health, said:
“We now enter a crucial period in the run up to Christmas with our health and care systems under real pressure due to Covid-19 and the winter flu season. Getting a Covid-19 jab near you has never been easier – either book at jab via the NHS website, or visit a walk-in session with no booking needed.
“Flu vaccines are also available from GPs and pharmacies for the over 50s and the vulnerable – these offer real protection.
“Recent experiments by Cambridge University have shown how ventilation indoors makes a massive difference to the spread of the virus. The Government has launched a campaign this week to highlight how important it is. Watch the latest video from the Department of Health and Social Care on YouTube.”
