Members of the Visit North Lincolnshire Tourism Partnership Scheme have been shortlisted in three categories at the 2020 Lincolnshire Tourism Excellence Awards.
Now in their third year, the awards celebrate the success of tourism businesses across the region and promote the strength of the business and leisure tourism offer, its venues, people, experiences and accommodation.
After celebrating success in last year’s awards, where the park was crowned the winner of the Family Tourism Award, Normanby Hall Country Park and Golf Course have once again been nominated, this time in the Large Visitor Attraction category.
Messingham based Play Avenue, an indoor role play centre that fuels young imaginations, has been shortlisted in both the Small Visitor Attraction and Experience of the Year categories. They are joined in the latter by Cameron Huggins Blacksmith, who keeps traditional forging techniques alive at his shop in Redbourne.
Two more businesses, The Pig & Whistle at Healing Manor Hotel and The Old Granary have been shortlisted for the Taste of Lincolnshire and Self-Catering Accommodation of the year awards respectively. Both are part of the Quality North Lincolnshire Assessment Scheme, which helps to maximise the potential of local businesses.
The full shortlist can be found on the Lincolnshire Tourism Awards website. Winners will be announced at a gala presentation evening held in Lincoln on 12 March 2020.
