Families visiting East Halton Play Park will soon be able to make the most of their time outdoors, thanks to new picnic tables funded through a £1,140 community grant from North Lincolnshire Council.
The funding, awarded to East Halton Parish Council, will be used to buy and install the tables – creating a welcoming space where families can enjoy snacks or lunch together, and where parents and carers can relax while children play.
It’s part of the council’s ongoing commitment to deliver what matters for local communities by investing in places that help people connect, get active and spend quality time together.
Cllr Rob Waltham, leader of North Lincolnshire Council, said: “Simple additions like picnic tables can make a real difference to how people enjoy local spaces. This small investment will help families spend more time outdoors, making East Halton Play Park an even more valuable community asset.”
The improvements will help ensure the park remains a well-used and much-loved part of the village for years to come.
The project is supported through the council’s Community Grant Fund, which helps local groups and parish councils deliver projects that strengthen communities and improve local spaces.
