Residents and businesses in North Lincolnshire are encouraged to join the squad of litter heroes to help clear up litter across the county during Keep Britain Tidy’s Great British Spring Clean taking place from 21 March to 6 April 2025.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Great British Spring Clean and is promoting sense of pride and people power, and North Lincolnshire has been involved since the beginning with hundreds of people coming together from all communities.
The UK’s largest mass-action environmental campaign brings together individuals, community organisations, businesses and councils to get outdoors, get active and help make a difference to the environment on our doorstep.
Last year’s Great British Spring Clean was a great success in North Lincolnshire resulting in over 1,000 bags of rubbish being collected by more than 200 individuals.
Keep Britain Tidy reports that last year:
- 97% of participants agreed that they felt they had made a difference to their local area.
- 84% of people who took part in the Great British Spring Clean agreed that they felt more pride for their local area.
The council currently spends over £1m a year on cleaning up the area.
