North Lincolnshire Council is today launching a new service for job seekers in the area. Every Thursday a list of vacancies from businesses across North Lincolnshire will be listed on North Lincolnshire Council website, within the local jobs section.

The vacancies will be refreshed weekly so you can be sure that you are up to date with what is available.
This week there are over 80 listed with links to enable people to apply direct. As well as council vacancies, there are jobs in the care sector, retail and hospitality, IT, apprenticeships, and warehouse and factory work.

As the new government initiatives are rolled out there will also be information on new apprenticeships, traineeships and work experience opportunities.

The council also offers wide-ranging support to help people get into the jobs market, upskill or reskill, change jobs or take the next step on their career ladder.

Cllr Rob Waltham, Leader of North Lincolnshire Council, said:
“While we are in challenging economic times, there are still many companies across North Lincolnshire looking to recruit. The new council service launched today will put many of these jobs in one place and enable job seekers to apply at the click of a button.

“It will also highlight the many ways the council and other agencies can support people back into work – for example learning new skills, writing CVs, and interview techniques.

“The council continues to work with local businesses to grow the economy in North Lincolnshire. As well as helping job seekers, the new service will also enable businesses find the right person with the right skills for their vacancies.”

Businesses can list their vacancies free of charge by contacting Action Station on 01724 297000 or email action.station@northlincs.gov.uk.
