Cllr Rob Waltham, leader of North Lincolnshire Council, said:

“The generous donation of nearly £27,000 from Phillips 66 will support The Blue Door charity as they continue to provide vital front line work. I’d like to say a big thank you to Phillips 66 for supporting this local charity, which provides domestic abuse services for vulnerable members of our communities.

“Now more than ever we all, communities and businesses, need to be pulling together to support vulnerable people to ensure they are kept safe and well. This donation from Phillips 66 shows real commitment to the community.

“This is an unprecedented time and everyone is doing their best to keep going. It is important we recognise the amazing community spirit throughout North Lincolnshire with many residents doing one thing to help their neighbours to businesses like Phillips 66 supporting local charities financially.

“No one should ever have to cope with domestic abuse and people shouldn’t feel like they are alone. Support is available, so please don’t suffer in silence. Even if you reach out to a friend or family member, it can help during this difficult time.”

If you or someone you know is worried about a relationship, contact The Blue Door on 0800 1974787 or find help at the The Blue Door website.  Support on domestic abuse is also available at the Government website.
