Seven community projects across the Isle of Axholme are celebrating a major funding boost, with more than £130,000 secured through North Lincolnshire Council to improve facilities, support local groups, and strengthen community spirit.
From sports clubs and community halls to grassroots initiatives and play areas, the funding will help ensure venues and organisations remain safe, accessible, and welcoming for residents of all ages.
Projects receiving funding include:
Epworth Town Colts – £40,000 for changing room and community hub.
Crowle Community Hall – £29,000 for new roof.
Crowle Colts Men’s Team – £18,500 for a 50 seat canopy stand.
Crowle Boxing Club – £4,900 for facility improvements.
Crowle Boxing Club – £10,000 for facility upgrades.
Crowle Bowls Club – £8,500 for a new mower.
Keadby park toddler area – £21,000 for relocation and fencing.

Cllr Julie Reed, cabinet member for children and families, said: “It’s fantastic to see this level of support for projects in Keadby and Crowle. These grants will make a real difference – whether it’s improving sports facilities, upgrading community spaces, or helping clubs grow and thrive. It’s a great example of how we’re backing our communities.”
Cllr Tim Mitchell, cabinet member for transformation, added: “Epworth Town Colts do amazing work with young people, and these new changing facilities and hub will be a game-changer for them. It’s more than just bricks and mortar – it’s about creating a space where the next generation can learn, grow, and feel part of something special.”
Cllr Rob Waltham, leader of North Lincolnshire Council, said: “We made a promise to support communities across North Lincolnshire – and this is us keeping that promise. These grants are about investing in people, places, and potential. I’m proud we’re helping local groups deliver lasting benefits for their towns and villages.”
Funding is made available through North Lincolnshire Council’s management of the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
