HY Racing joins the Fostering Friendly Scheme – A powerful new partnership with deep family roots

North Lincolnshire council’s fostering team are delighted to announce that HY Racing has become the newest member of the Fostering Friendly Scheme. A meaningful collaboration that celebrates family, community and the inspirational role foster care plays in the lives of local children and young people.

The partnership celebrates the journey of Harley Young, an aspiring racer and birth child of a dedicated fostering family, with whom the fostering team have proudly worked with over recent years through collaboration and community engagement. This makes the partnership especially significant, demonstrating how fostering touches lives both on and off the track.

Harley Young, representing HY Racing, said: “I’m incredibly proud to be part of something that means so much to my family and to the wider fostering community and be able to support and champion children in care. Growing up in a fostering family has shaped who I am and to now be able to support that in this way is an honour.”

The Fostering Friendly Scheme encourages local organisations to support and champion fostering, recognising foster carers, raising awareness in the community, and helping ensure children and young people in care can thrive close to home. Members of the scheme commit to encouraging understanding of fostering, promoting opportunities for children and families, and helping create environments that celebrate and support foster carers and young people.
