Wren Kitchens is the latest business to confirm they will be attending next week’s North Lincolnshire Jobs Expo 2021, with more than 400 vacancies on their books.

The Barton-based company expect to have another 200 vacancies in the next three months, covering a full-range of sectors including customer service roles in their new call centre and retail staff in showrooms.

Wren are joining more than 40 other local employers at the region’s largest ever jobs fair.

Ongo, 2 Sisters, KFC, Rebus Upholstery and British Steel are just some of the well-known names keen to meet jobseekers at the Baths Hall on Tuesday 19 October, 2.30pm – 7pm.

They will be joined by other major employers from the retail, hospitality, manufacturing, logistics, public sector and health and social care sectors.

Visitors are encouraged to bring their CVs and be prepared to take part in on-the-spot interviews – meaning they could walk out with a job.

The National Careers Service will be running a series of CV and interview skill taster sessions throughout the afternoon.

These will give up to date advice and tips on presenting your best side to potential employers as well as helping boost confidence and self-esteem.

Jobseekers can reserve a seat on the sessions through the Jobcentre or speak to staff at the Expo on the day who will book them on to the first available place.

The Expo is targeted at people looking to return to work after the pandemic, young people breaking into the careers market for the first time and anyone who simply wants more money in their pocket at the end of the month.

There will also be targeted advice on barriers to employment, including childcare, transport and mental health.

Cllr Rob Waltham, leader of North Lincolnshire Council, said: “There are a great many jobs available across the area and a similar number of people looking for jobs.

“We’re also seeing, because of a competitive marketplace, employers competing hard to attract good people, so there has never been a better time for people to change their future.”

The event is taking place on Tuesday October 19 2021 from 2.30pm – 7pm at The Baths Hall, Doncaster Road, DN15 7RG.

(Please note, the Baths Hall operates a strict Covid-secure policy.)
