Hundreds of park homes residents in North Lincolnshire can now register for the £400 Government cash for help with energy bills – with nearly £1m expected to be shared by around almost 2,500 households. The cash will also go to other households without a direct link to energy suppliers like care home residents.
The cash will be paid in one lump sum into bank accounts. To apply visit the GOV.UK website.
Cllr Rob Waltham, leader of North Lincolnshire Council said: “This latest announcement plugs a gap that had seen many residents not get the £400 that everyone else will have seen being taken directly from their bills.
“The secure online portal is now live, and I would urge anyone who is eligible to apply as soon as possible to get this cash.”
People who will be able to receive the cash include care home residents and others in care facilities/sheltered accommodation (wholly or partly self-funded), park home residents, houseboats and caravans that can provide proof of address, social and private tenants who pay for energy through a landlord on a commercial supply, travellers, homes on a heat network/private wire, off-grid homes and farmhouses used for wholly domestic purposes.
