Young adults who have left care in North Lincolnshire are being invited to have their say on the lifelong support available to them – designed to help them live successful and independent lives.

The council is increasing the offer of support and advice beyond the age of 25 to ensure there is someone there to support and advise care leavers whenever they might need it.

Now, the biggest ever conversation with care leavers has been launched, where people can have their say to directly shape the support available to them.

A drop in consultation event will take place at Cafe Indie in Scunthorpe on 28 April, from 5pm to 7pm. Pizza and soft drinks are included.

Alternatively, care leavers can share their thoughts by completing a short survey on our website.

Many care leavers do well but within their adult lives may face difficulties which they need support and advice on.

Personal Advisors along with partners are available to care leavers to offer an open door for support and advice to help them be the best they can be in line with the Corporate Parenting Promise to Children in Care and Care Leavers 2021 whatever their age.
