Winterton Bowling and Recreation Club will see improvements made to ensure the club remains a welcoming space for the local community with the purchase of new bench and a lawnmower.
This investment will enhance the comfort and experience of members and visitors, while ensuring the bowling green is maintained to the highest standard.
These improvements are being made possible thanks to £4,445 community grant from North Lincolnshire Council.
Cllr Rob Waltham, leader of North Lincolnshire Council, said: “Clubs like Winterton Bowling and Recreation Club are a vital part of communities and offer a place for people to socialise and keep active.
“By investing in facilities like this, we’re helping to ensure these clubs remain welcoming and accessible for everyone.
“The community grant fund continues to make a real difference, supporting grassroots projects that strengthen local communities and improve quality of life for residents across North Lincolnshire.”
Since launching in 2011, the Community Grant Fund has pumped millions into grassroots projects across the region – from sports clubs and youth groups to charities and parish councils – helping to strengthen communities and support local talent.
Grants are available for junior and youth groups, charitable bodies, co-operatives, not-for-profit organisations, and individuals demonstrating excellence in sport, art, or culture.
Support is also available for venue hire, helping keep community spaces open and active.
