Brumby Hall Bowls Club is celebrating a major boost thanks to a £10,888 grant from North Lincolnshire Council – funding that’s helping keep its greens in pristine condition for players and visitors alike.
The grant, awarded through the council’s Community Grant Fund, has enabled the club to invest in a fine turf mower and rotary mower. This specialist equipment will ensure the club’s playing surfaces remain top-notch, supporting its four leagues and packed calendar of competitions and community fun days.
Cllr Rob Waltham, leader of North Lincolnshire Council, said: “It’s brilliant to see how our community grants are helping local clubs like Brumby Hall thrive. This investment means the greens will stay in excellent condition for years to come – a real win for the club and everyone who enjoys the sport.”
He added: “If you’re part of a group or an individual in North Lincolnshire who could benefit from funding, I’d encourage you to explore the grants available on our website.”
Since launching in 2011, the Community Grant Fund has pumped millions into grassroots projects across the region – from sports clubs and youth groups to charities and parish councils – helping to strengthen communities and support local talent.
Grants are available for junior and youth groups, charitable bodies, co-operatives, not-for-profit organisations, and individuals demonstrating excellence in sport, art, or culture. Support is also available for venue hire, helping keep community spaces open and active.
