Football fans, get ready! The legendary Barclays Premier League and Women’s Super League trophies are coming to Scunthorpe Central on Friday 21 February, from 9am to 4pm.
This is your chance to see the iconic silverware up close, snap a selfie, and take part in a day packed with fun football-themed activities.
Visitors can enjoy jaw-dropping skills from a professional football freestyler, spot stiltwalkers, play a crazy giant version of blow football, and follow a prize football trail around the town centre.
Plus, get creative with crafts and face painting, take on the fun library hunt or join a robot Spheros coding session (morning only).
Scunny Bunny will be joining in the fun as well.
Older kids can check out the Youth Van, while the Barclays Bus will be on-site for general banking support.
North Lincolnshire Council leader Rob Waltham said: “It is an honour to host these trophies as part of their nationwide tour.
“We have a fantastic network of grass roots football in North Lincolnshire, and the council was proud to play a part in transferring Scunthorpe United to a community interest company.
“I hope we will see lots of young people and families at the library on 21 February for fantastic day of football and family fun.”
Scunthorpe Central was chosen for the prestigious visit as it is home to a Barclays Local, where customers can talk face-to-face with banking staff.
Help and advice is available on a wide range of issues, such as digital banking, money management, bereavement assistance, fraud and scams, payments and transfers.
Barclays Local is open Monday to Friday – for opening times and more information visit the Barclays website.
