North Lincolnshire Council has awarded £44,000 to West Halton and Coleby Parish Council for brand new play facilities in West Halton.

The funding – from the council’s Community Grant Fund – will go towards a brand new play area and new goal posts in the village.

The new playground will include a climbing frame with a slide, new swings, seesaws, and an accessible roundabout.

Work on the new playground is expected to start later this year.

Cllr Rob Waltham, Leader of North Lincolnshire Council, said:

“This is a significant investment in West Halton and young people and their families will soon be able to get outside and enjoy brand new play facilities in the heart of the village.

“We are continuing to invest in facilities for young people across our area.   We are really ambitious for North Lincolnshire and we want to continue to support local communities to develop their area and provide opportunities for residents.”

Charles Dent, Clerk to West Halton Parish Council said:

“We are very grateful to North Lincolnshire Council for the funding from the Community Grant pot. This is a very welcome investment in West Halton and I know the play area will be enjoyed by generations to come.”
