North Lincolnshire Council has provided £15,000 SEND (special educational needs and disabilities) funding for Enderby Road Infant School to improve access.
Work involved constructing ramps at external doorways and raising the floor to create a level Early Years area.
Access around the school has now improved for pupils, staff and visitors who have a physical disability.
Cllr Rob Waltham, Leader of North Lincolnshire Council and Cllr David Rose, cabinet member for children, families, learning and leisure, recently visited the school to take a look at the improvement works.
Cllr David Rose said:
“We prioritise funding for schools to ensure that children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities receive the best support
“It is great to see Enderby Road Infant School making the most of the funding they have received to make their school accessible to all.”
Headteacher of Enderby Road Infant School, Mrs Elliott, said:
“We really appreciate the work that this funding has made possible – it helps us make our school a safer and more inclusive learning environment for all our infants!”
