Schools

Inspiring young people through musical opportunities

School programme

The Power of Music to Change Lives: A National Plan for Music Education, states that all schools should “timetable curriculum music of at least one hour each week of the school year for key stages 1-3”.

The document goes on to say, this should include the opportunity to explore the mechanics of sound by exploring a range of instruments in Early Years & KS1 (such as simple tuned and untuned hand percussion instruments or recorders), and the opportunity to explore further instruments (such as flutes, violins and more) through Whole Class Instrumental Teaching (WCIT).

North Lincolnshire Music provides a range of programmes and packages designed to support your school in delivering the requirements as set out in the National Plan for Music Education.

The sessions are led by experienced music teachers who will visit your school weekly and teach your students over the course of the year.

Our team of experienced music teachers will inspire, engage, and encourage young people to reach their potential, enabling them to harness the power of music for life.

We recognise that all schools are unique in their needs, therefore all our services can be tailored to suit your setting. Our provision is designed so that you can pick and mix what suits your school best, from packages focusing on music curriculum to whole class music making.
